「日本とイラクの歴史学、地域研究、考古学、教育学における学術交流:イラクでの日本研究と日本語教育の現状を中心に」
1.開催趣旨
バグダード大学のマフムード・カイスィー教授が2005年に初来日して以降、酒井との間でイラクの日本研究を支援する活動を行ってきた。バグダード大学を中心としたイラク有数の大学における研究者と、日本の中東研究およびイラク側からの協力ニーズの高い歴史学、地域研究、考古学、教育学などの研究者を交えて、これまで日本・イラク学術合同会議を2007年以来15回、イラクあるいは日本国内で実施してきた。特に2015年以降は、在イラク日本大使館の協力を得て、イラク国内(バスラ、ナジャフ、カルバラ、バグダード)での開催を成功させてきた。
本年は、国際交流基金と早稲田大学の協力を得て、「イラクにおける日本研究の現状」をテーマとし、日本とイラクの研究協力の推進を目的として、以下の通り日本・イラク合同学術研究ワークショップを開催する。
