Kind of researcher I want to be

I want to be a practitioner-scholar, a researcher who consistently seeks to influence public policy by providing evidence-based solutions.

Introduction to your research theme (incorporating discussion on universal values and collective memory)

My research is about the international norms, values and practices of reconciliation design for a post  revolution period and their applicability to Myanmar context.

After three years of revolution in Myanmar since 2021, the hatred, bitterness, grievances, and desire for revenge between the military and the people were at an all-time high. The cruelty of the State Administrative Council (SAC) has been inhumane.

In situations like these, when building a new nation, it is important to design a reconciliation framework that accommodates such circumstances while protecting justice, fairness, and promoting healing in the country. Therefore, my research aims to discover why reconciliation is necessary during the post-revolution phase and what models would be suitable for Myanmar.

To achieve this, I have closely monitored the political changes and revolutionary phenomena in Myanmar. I am studying a transitional justice policy published in 2023 by the NUCC for the post-revolution period in Myanmar. Additionally, I am reading international books that focus on reconciliation design and settings to fully understand the concept.
